The launch of the second season of Battlefield 6 has been delayed by nearly a month, now set for February 17 instead of the previously planned January 20. This decision was made by EA and Battlefield Studios in response to feedback from the gaming community regarding the game's current content.
In light of the delay, Season 1 will be extended, allowing players to access additional content until the new season begins. The extension will introduce the Frostfire Bonus Path, offering new free and premium customization options, including a Weapon Package and a Soldier Skin, alongside XP Boosts as players progress through its tiers.
Initially, Battlefield 6 experienced strong sales, exceeding seven million copies sold in its first three days post-launch. However, recent reviews on Steam have criticized aspects of the game, including the Battle Pass system, which some players find overly aggressive and stressful. EA's blog post emphasized the commitment to refining Season 2 based on ongoing community input.
