Microsoft has officially introduced the next-generation Xbox console, known as Project Helix. This announcement emerged shortly before the upcoming Game Developers’ Conference (GDC), which is set to take place in San Francisco next week.
Asha Sharma, the new CEO of Xbox, expressed her team's dedication to revitalizing the Xbox brand. In her statements, she emphasized that Project Helix will excel in performance and enable gamers to enjoy both Xbox and PC titles. This marks Sharma’s first GDC as the head of Xbox, where she plans to engage with various partners and studios.
Despite ongoing speculation about the future of Xbox and challenges related to memory shortages linked to AI, the company appears committed to launching at least one more console generation. Although the anticipated launch of Project Helix may be delayed beyond the previously suggested late-2027 timeframe due to RAM scarcity, Microsoft’s gaming division shows no signs of retreating.
