The anticipated Minecraft World theme park is set to launch in 2027, marking a significant expansion of the franchise into the physical realm. Located near London, it will inhabit a section of Chessington World of Adventures, which also features a zoo. This new attraction aims to offer visitors a mix of immersive experiences, including a roller coaster and interactive adventures.
At a recent event, creative director Torfi Frans Ólafsson emphasized the park's goal to create an authentic atmosphere for fans. The collaboration between Mojang Studios and Merlin Entertainments highlights the ambition behind this project, as it seeks to attract both gamers and families.
For those unable to visit the theme park, a new interactive experience, Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail, will debut in May in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This outdoor nighttime adventure invites participants to explore iconic game environments while engaging in crafting and battles.
In addition to the theme park developments, Mojang announced upcoming updates for the game, including the March 24 release of Tiny Takeover, which will introduce new features like a golden dandelion for baby mobs. Future expansions, such as Chaos Cubed, promise to enhance gameplay with innovative mechanics.
