The indie game sector is abuzz with excitement this week as remakes of classic titles and innovative new releases make their debut. Notably, Cyan Worlds has launched remakes of two beloved puzzle adventure games on PS5 and PS VR2.
Among the latest offerings is Fail Fail Succeed, a unique puzzle platformer that arrived on Steam for $10. Players navigate challenges by sacrificing their character to clear obstacles, ultimately seeking to pet a dog, a concept inspired by developer Martin Zetterman's personal experiences with mental health. The character's deaths transform them into helpful blocks that aid progress in the game.
Additionally, the recently unveiled shooter Ferra takes players into a stylized future Japan, where they can utilize parkour and an array of weapons, including firearms and katanas. Players also have the ability to transform into a kitsune form to enhance their combat abilities. This title, developed by the small team at EllipsisWorks, showcases a blend of action reminiscent of popular titles like Doom Eternal and Ghostrunner.
