On Friday the 13th of February 2026, horror enthusiasts can watch the first two installments of the Friday the 13th series in theaters, thanks to Regal Cinemas. Screenings for Friday Part I will begin between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM, followed by Friday Part II starting after 9:00 or 10:00 PM. The total runtime for both films is approximately 135 minutes for the original and 137 minutes for the sequel, making it feasible for fans to enjoy them back-to-back.
Despite their mixed critical reception upon release in 1980 and 1981, both films performed well financially, with the original earning $59.8 million and the sequel grossing $21.7 million. These films introduced iconic characters Pamela and Jason Voorhees, solidifying their place in horror history.
Regal is also hinting at a significant event for the next November's Friday the 13th, which is the only occurrence of the date in the fall season. This may coincide with the anticipated Crystal Lake prequel series from A24, set to be released on Peacock, although a specific premiere date has yet to be announced.
