Scheduled for release on February 19, the upcoming standalone DLC titled Neva: Prologue serves as a prequel to the acclaimed puzzle platformer Neva. The new content, unveiled by developer Nomada Studio during Sony's State of Play, focuses on the origins of the protagonist Alba and her wolf companion.
In this installment, players will guide Alba as she ventures into corrupted swamps in pursuit of white butterflies, ultimately encountering a lost wolf cub. The game introduces three new areas that boast distinct gameplay mechanics, along with new adversaries and challenging boss encounters. Additionally, players can seek out five hidden challenge flowers, catering to completionists.
Nomada Studio emphasizes that Neva: Prologue is intended to be played after finishing the original game, enhancing the overall experience. The original title received high praise from reviewers, with Engadget's Jessica Conditt lauding its captivating world and engaging gameplay elements.
