Empulse, the upcoming title from 1047 Games, has been confirmed as a "spiritual successor" to the Titanfall series, according to new reports. While the game is still in pre-alpha development, it aims to incorporate movement mechanics reminiscent of popular shooters like Titanfall and Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Insider Gaming, which reviewed early gameplay footage, detailed features such as grappling hooks, wall running, and boost pads. Players will also have the opportunity to control giant mechs, similar to those found in the original Titanfall titles. One mech showcased in the footage was noted for being equipped with a shield and missile launcher.
Although 1047 Games initially teased its next project during the announcement of the second season of Splitgate: Arena Reloaded in March, no official teaser or release date has been provided yet. The excitement surrounding Empulse comes on the heels of EA's cancellation of an unannounced Titanfall game in April 2025, leaving fans eager for new content.
