On June 30, the servers for The Elder Scrolls: Blades will be permanently shut down by Bethesda, marking the end of service for the mobile game. Players can expect to receive a complimentary bundle of Gems and Sigils, with all in-game items available for just one Gem or Sigil each until the closure.
Originally released in 2020 for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch, the game will have been operational for nearly six years. Despite an early boost with over one million downloads in its first week of early access, it failed to achieve lasting commercial success and received a "Generally Unfavorable" rating on Metacritic.
The game's shutdown follows Bethesda's previous decision to end support for another spinoff, The Elder Scrolls: Legends, which ceased development in 2019 and had its servers taken offline in January 2025. Players seeking an alternative mobile experience can still engage with The Elder Scrolls: Castles.
