The new handheld gaming device, the Pocket S Mini from Ayaneo, targets enthusiasts of retro gaming by providing a true 4:3 aspect ratio, eliminating vertical black bars during gameplay. This model features a robust design with a full metal frame and a glass front panel, distinguishing it from competitors.
Equipped with a 4.2-inch LCD display boasting a resolution of 1,280 x 960, the Pocket S Mini includes advanced features such as Hall effect joysticks with RGB lighting, Hall effect triggers, and uniquely designed buttons. The device is powered by a Snapdragon G3x Gen 2 chip and comes with a substantial 6,000mAh battery.
Unlike previous releases, the Pocket S Mini is not part of a crowdfunding initiative and is currently available for purchase on Ayaneo's website. Early bird pricing begins at $319 for either the Obsidian Black or Ice Soul White models, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A special Retro Power variant, featuring 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, is priced at $479. Retail prices will later increase to between $399 and $559.
