The redesigned Live Guide for YouTube TV is now being rolled out across its Android and iOS applications. This update enhances the user experience by increasing the information density and improving functionality, building on the version introduced for televisions earlier in 2023.
Key features include repositioned channel icons on the left side and a new “Jump to live” button, which is prominently displayed in red. Users can swipe to view upcoming programs, and details about program duration and remaining time are readily available. A “Sort” menu is accessible in the top-left corner for easier navigation.
To preview a channel, users can long-press on a program, which reveals a floating sheet with options such as adding to the library or setting a reminder. However, some elements of the app, including the Library and Home tabs, have not yet adopted the latest design language. Users experiencing issues with the update should ensure they have the latest version and may need to restart the app to access the new features.
