Google announced enhancements to its voice assistant, Gemini, designed specifically for users of Google TV. These improvements will enable more sophisticated natural-language interactions, allowing users to effortlessly command the system for tailored content searches. The updates, revealed at CES 2026, will introduce a visually engaging interface that incorporates images, videos, and real-time information, particularly for sports updates.
Among the new features, users can access a "Deep dives" function, which offers narrated and interactive content summaries. A convenient "Dive deeper" button will facilitate this experience. Additionally, Gemini will enable voice commands to adjust TV settings, allowing users to optimize their viewing experience without navigating through menus.
Gemini's capabilities will extend to searching Google Photos for specific images and moments, while also allowing users to apply artistic styles through the Photos Remix feature. The rollout of these features will begin on select TCL devices, with broader availability on other Google TV models and projectors anticipated in the months ahead.
