Apple has introduced a new immersive Environment called Thórsmörk as part of the upcoming visionOS 27 for the Apple Vision Pro. This feature allows users to experience the Icelandic highlands, complete with stunning views of the northern lights. The Thórsmörk Environment includes a lake surrounded by mountains, enhancing the immersive experience when watching videos.
During the recent WWDC keynote, Apple highlighted various features of visionOS 27, including the ability to transform spatial photos into spatial scenes. Although the Thórsmörk Environment was not extensively discussed, it represents a significant addition to the Apple Vision Pro lineup, which previously showcased the Jupiter Environment from visionOS 26.
In this new Environment, the scene dynamically reacts to content displayed on the screen, particularly when dark mode is activated. This interaction enhances the realism of the experience, making it feel as though the environment itself is responding to the visuals.
