Following significant delays, the Trump Mobile T1 has officially launched, arriving for review with a different design than originally showcased. Preorders for the phone began with a $100 deposit by CNET in June 2025, and the company expedited shipment to facilitate early evaluation.
The phone's launch was initially scheduled for August 2025, but production challenges led to a postponement and a change in its "made in the US" claim. Trump Mobile, which debuted with a monthly plan priced at $47.45, faced complications that delayed production, as confirmed last week by CEO Pat O'Brien.
This weekend, the T1 will be tested in real-world conditions, with live updates anticipated during the Memorial Day weekend. The phone, which comes equipped with a charger and a distinctive gold-and-black cable, reportedly takes just under an hour to charge fully.
