According to a recent CNET survey, US adults are now paying an average of $195 more for internet services compared to last year. This increase has spurred consumers to seek out the best internet service providers (ISPs) that offer competitive pricing and fast speeds without requiring long-term contracts.
CNET has identified its top choice for no-contract internet as GFiber, which provides high-speed options of up to 3,000 megabits per second. However, availability is limited to 19 states. Alternatives such as AT&T Fiber are also recommended for those outside GFiber's service area.
While no-contract plans can offer flexibility, it's important to note that these options may come with higher costs. CNET advises potential customers to compare the price per megabit per second (Mbps) to ensure they are getting the best value for their internet service.
