Telegram has reintroduced support for Android smartwatches, launching a new app for Wear OS alongside an Apple Watch version. This update marks the first time Telegram's services are available on devices like the Pixel Watch and Galaxy Watch, which previously operated on different platforms.
The Wear OS application offers features such as the ability to send and listen to voice messages, access chats, and manage notifications by muting or pinning discussions. However, it currently does not support sending stickers or viewing locations, features that are available on the Apple Watch app. Telegram plans to integrate these functionalities into the Wear OS version in upcoming updates.
Additional enhancements in the latest update include improvements to bot text formatting, new options for links in polls, and markdown file support. Users can now choose to open external links in a browser with a long-press action, allowing for greater flexibility when navigating outside the app.
