The upcoming Afeela 1, an electric vehicle developed by Sony Honda Mobility, is set to launch next year with a starting price of $102,000. This hatchback, slightly smaller than a Tesla Model S, will be equipped with PS Remote Play, allowing gamers to play PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles directly from the car.
Manufactured at a Honda facility in Ohio, the Afeela 1 features an advanced automated driving system utilizing lidar and radar technology. It will offer a driving range of up to 300 miles thanks to its dual 180-kW electric motors and a robust 91-kWh battery pack, delivering approximately 480 horsepower.
In addition to gaming capabilities, the vehicle will include multiple screens for information and entertainment, an AI assistant, and a customizable media bar in lieu of a traditional grille. Reservations require a fee of $200, while a more affordable $89,000 base model is slated for production starting in 2027, initially limited to California residents.
