Samsung has announced a significant partnership with Google to incorporate Google Photos into its TizenOS-powered televisions, addressing a long-standing absence of a native app for Google TV. This integration is set to launch in March 2026, with curated memories organized by themes like people, places, and moments, rather than offering access to the entire photo library.
For the initial six months, this feature will be exclusive to Samsung TVs. Additionally, later in 2026, a new tool called Nano Banana will be introduced, allowing users to create themed templates and modify the style of their media on the big screen. Samsung plans to roll out personalized slideshow results based on specific topics, enhancing the viewing experience further.
The integration will debut with new Samsung TVs in 2026 and will also be available through software updates for select existing models. This move is expected to streamline the user experience, making it easier to enjoy photos and videos without the need for casting from mobile devices.
