Samsung is preparing for significant product launches in 2026, including the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy Z TriFold. Anticipation is building around the Galaxy Z Flip series, with a shift back to utilizing Samsung's in-house Exynos chips, as reported by The Bell.
Following the trend established by the Galaxy Z Flip 7, the upcoming models may solely feature the new Exynos 2600 chip. This would exclude Qualcomm from its flagship clamshell series, potentially allowing the Exynos 2600 to debut without facing much competition. Speculation indicates that this chip could provide "up to" 29% faster GPU speeds compared to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The Exynos 2600 is also expected to outperform both Snapdragon and Apple’s A19 chip in NPU performance, enhancing local AI capabilities. Although Samsung has faced challenges in recent times, it remains committed to its chip development, aiming for improved performance with its next flagship offerings.
