Samsung has introduced a new product, the Magnet Wireless Battery Pack, priced at $65. This power bank, featuring a capacity of 5,000 mAh and Qi2 certification, is designed specifically for users of the Galaxy S26 series. However, the device requires a compatible case for functionality, as Samsung chose to omit Qi2 magnets from the phones to maintain a slimmer profile.
The battery pack supports wireless charging at speeds of up to 15W and 25W when connected via its USB-C port. Its design includes a cutout for the camera module, addressing issues with previous magnetic accessories fitting poorly due to the camera bump on recent Galaxy models. Despite the release of this accessory, Samsung's decision to not incorporate Qi2 magnets into the Galaxy S26 series raises concerns about compatibility with other charging devices.
Currently, the new power bank is listed on Samsung's online store, but it is not yet available for shipping in the United States. Meanwhile, alternatives such as the Baseus PicoGo and Anker MagGo are recommended for customers seeking magnetic charging solutions without the need for a case.
