This platform boasts a remarkable increase in efficiency, offering up to 60% enhanced performance from its Adreno GPU and a 30% boost for the Kryo CPU, along with an impressive 160% improvement in Hexagon NPU capabilities, reaching 48 TOPS.
The Snapdragon Reality Elite supports advanced features such as photorealistic avatars and better 3D content creation. It allows for up to 4.4K resolution per eye at 90 FPS, which enhances detail and motion quality. Additionally, the chip improves battery life by 20% compared to the XR2+ Gen 2, while operating cooler, by up to 12 degrees Celsius under load. It accommodates various headset designs, including all-in-one and tethered units.
In a complementary announcement, Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon START program, designed to facilitate the development of smart glasses and other AI-driven personal devices. This initiative combines hardware modules with Snapdragon platforms and provides an adaptable software stack, enabling brands to create tailored solutions.
