The recent update to Google’s Pixel products has led to significant user complaints regarding inaccuracies in health tracking metrics. Following the March 2026 Pixel Feature Drop, numerous users reported that their daily activity statistics, including steps and calories burned, have been drastically overstated in the Fitbit app.
Many individuals noted that their step counts have doubled or even tripled, with one user claiming an impossible tally of 14,000 steps while seated at a desk. Despite the widespread nature of these discrepancies, the exact cause remains unclear, as some users without the March update are also experiencing similar issues.
In addition to inflated activity metrics, the update has also resulted in the disappearance of blood oxygen and skin temperature tracking features on Pixel wearables. While Google has not yet responded to these concerns, the ongoing situation may necessitate an acknowledgment and subsequent fix from the company as the number of affected users continues to grow.
