The Pixel Phone app's Call Recording feature is set to be available internationally, expanding access beyond its initial launch in the United States. Users in Europe have recently reported that the feature is now operational in their regions, following a broader rollout that began in November.
This functionality, which is compatible with Pixel 6 and newer devices running Android 14 or higher, allows users to record calls, although transcription and summaries are not provided. To activate the recording, users can navigate to the Phone app settings and opt for automatic recording with specified numbers. A notification alerts all parties when a call is being recorded.
Additionally, users can manage recordings, choosing to have them automatically deleted after a set period or retained indefinitely. Google aims to make this feature available in all markets and languages by the end of February, coinciding with the launch of the Pixel 10a.
