Google has made factory images available for its newly launched smartphone, the Pixel 10a, which is codenamed “stallion”. Two software builds have been released: version 16.0.0 (BD6A.251031.001.A4) and version 16.0.0 (CP1A.260305.018), both dated March 2026. The first build is the default software, while the latter includes the day-one update for Android 16 QPR3 along with the March 2026 security patch.
These factory images allow users to restore their devices to the original firmware in case of software issues. Google recommends sideloading the complete OTA image as a safer alternative. The Pixel 10a is part of a series that maintains a racehorse theme with other models like “frankel” for the Pixel 10 and “blazer” for the Pixel 10 Pro.
Currently, the Pixel 10a is not part of the Android Beta Program, but it is expected to receive support with Android 17 Beta 3 later this month.
