Philips Hue is set to enhance its lighting technology with new features in Spring 2026, notably introducing “SpatialAware” scenes. These updates will allow the system to intelligently distribute colors in a room based on the relative positions of lighting products, creating a more immersive lighting experience.
Currently, colors from Hue's preset scenes are randomly allocated, which can lead to less effective lighting setups, especially in larger spaces. The upcoming SpatialAware scenes aim to replicate natural light more realistically, enhancing the overall atmosphere in homes.
Additional features expected include support for multiple original Hue Bridges to migrate to the new Bridge Pro, along with AI assistant upgrades that will enable automations through natural language requests. Also, the AI assistant will begin supporting Dutch, German, and Spanish in Q1 2026. Furthermore, Apple Home integration for Hue Secure cameras and contact sensors will allow video streaming and alerts through the Apple Home app in the same timeframe.
