Oura has introduced enhanced hormonal health features for its Series 3 and 4 rings, set to launch on May 6. These updates include the upgraded Cycle Insights, which now accommodates various hormonal birth control methods, allowing users to understand their effects on biometric data.
The revised Cycle Insights feature will help users track menstrual cycles while considering over 20 types of birth control, including pills and IUDs. This tool aims to provide insights into how these methods may influence temperature patterns, sleep quality, and various symptoms.
Additionally, Oura has partnered with Twentyeight Health to create a portal within its app, enabling users to connect with licensed health providers for discussions on birth control options and prescriptions. A new Menopause Insights feature has also been added, allowing users to monitor up to 22 symptoms, providing personalized feedback based on individual responses.
While these features will be globally available, they are exclusively designed for the Oura Ring 3 and 4, with the latter being highlighted as a top choice in the smart ring market.
