The wearable EEG technology from French startup NAOX is set to revolutionize personal health monitoring with its upcoming consumer product. The NAOX Wave, a prototype of wireless earbuds, integrates brain-scanning capabilities to track mental activity throughout the day. This innovative device will provide insights into mental health, sleep analytics, cognitive performance, and even brain age via a companion app.
Scheduled for release in late 2026, the Wave will serve as a less intrusive alternative to traditional EEG caps used in clinical settings. Meanwhile, NAOX is also unveiling the NAOX Link NX01, designed for clinical use, which aims to facilitate long-term health studies while allowing users to stay mobile. The company plans to license its technology to audio manufacturers, potentially expanding the reach of this advanced monitoring system into more mainstream earbuds.
