A prototype of the Pixel Watch 5 has reportedly been discovered underwater near St. Martin. The device was brought to light by Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox, who shared two images on Twitter/X showing the watch, which still displayed the correct time despite being submerged.
Pitchford’s friend, while scuba diving, found the watch, which has “Pixel Watch 5” inscribed on its underside. The pictures do not appear manipulated, bolstered by Pitchford's reflection in one of them. While the watch seems to have a dead battery, it maintains some functionality.
As for the upcoming watch’s features, a launch is anticipated later this year. Speculations indicate that it may include the new Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, which Google has hinted will enhance performance and connectivity for the next generation of Wear OS.
