Meta has introduced two new styles of Ray-Ban smart glasses, named “Blayzer” and “Scriber”, specifically designed for prescription lenses. These additions are part of the newly launched “Optic Styles” collection, aiming to address previous user concerns regarding comfort and design.
The “Blayzer” features a rectangular shape available in multiple sizes, while the “Scriber” offers a rounded design. Both styles incorporate a slimmer body and include adjustable features such as temple tips and interchangeable nose pads. Users can select their prescription at checkout, with options for standard, thin, or extra-thin lenses, along with anti-reflective treatments.
Starting at $499, the smart glasses include a built-in camera with a privacy LED, open-ear headphones, and various AI functionalities, boasting a battery life exceeding 8 hours. Pre-orders are currently available, with expected deliveries in April. Meta has confirmed that nearly all prescription lenses will be accessible, including options for earlier models like “Wayfarer” and “Skyler”.
