Apple's visionOS 27 is set to roll out this fall, enhancing the functionality of all Apple Vision Pro models with notable upgrades. Among these, the most significant improvement is the introduction of Siri AI, which promises a more intuitive voice interaction experience. However, owners of the original Vision Pro will miss out on two specific features.
While the vast majority of new functionalities, including the redesigned Control Center and the ability to transform panoramas into spatial scenes, will be available to all users, the M5 Vision Pro model will have exclusive access to voice customization for Siri. This feature leverages Apple’s latest AFM 3 Core Advanced AI model, which the original M2 Vision Pro cannot support.
Additionally, original Vision Pro users can expect a decline in Apple Intelligence performance, as their devices will rely more on cloud computing rather than advanced on-device processing. This situation highlights a trend where even relatively new devices, such as last year's iPhone 17, also lack access to these advanced features.
