At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, LG is set to unveil a new home robot, CLOiD, which aims to assist with household tasks. The robot features two articulated arms with five individually actuated fingers, although specific tasks it can perform remain unspecified.
LG has emphasized that CLOiD is part of its vision for a "Zero Labor Home," intended to alleviate the burdens of housework and enhance quality time for users. The robot's head houses a chipset, display, speaker, camera, and multiple sensors, facilitating expressive communication through Affectionate Intelligence technology.
While LG has released close-up images of CLOiD's hands, the full design of the robot is being kept a secret until its official introduction in January. CES is known for showcasing innovative products, but it is uncertain if CLOiD will transition from a display model to a market-ready device. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe CLOiD in action at LG's booth in the convention center.
