Apple has introduced significant updates to its operating systems, enhancing user experience across its devices. Notably, the macOS Tahoe update features a long-awaited clipboard history tool, allowing users to access previously copied items, although it requires a two-step keystroke process.
The iPadOS 26 update marks a shift in multitasking capabilities, enabling Mac-style windowing without the constraints of previous iPad interfaces. Users can position windows freely, enhancing productivity. Missing features from earlier multitasking options were later restored in subsequent updates, 26.1 and 26.2.
Additionally, the latest OS updates provide users with access to Apple’s private cloud models through Shortcuts, facilitating automation with enhanced functionality without the need for external API setups.
As the year ends, a recap of favorite technology items has also been shared by Jason Snell, alongside an annual collaborative list called the Upgradies, which can be accessed in audio or video formats.
