Apple has introduced a variety of enhancements in the latest update, iOS 26.4, particularly for its Music app. One significant addition is the Playlist Playground, which utilizes Apple Intelligence to assist users in creating playlists. Users can input prompts for AI to generate playlists automatically, along with suggested prompts to facilitate the process.
In this update, the Music app features a revamped, fullscreen design for albums and playlists, where the artwork now influences the background and UI colors. Additionally, the Ambient Music feature, previously available in the Control Center, can now be accessed through a new Home Screen widget, offering options for different moods.
iOS 26.4 also simplifies playlist management by allowing users to add a song to multiple playlists at once through a new selection button. Concert information has been integrated as well, enabling artist profiles to display 'Upcoming Concerts' with links to purchase tickets and venue details. Apple Music is available for $10.99 per month or as part of the Apple One bundle.
