Huawei has unveiled its latest foldable device, the Pura X Max, which is notable for its extra-wide proportions. Scheduled for release on April 20 in China, this model is an evolution of the original Pura X and is already generating buzz due to its unique design.
The device features a passport-style fold, distinguishing it from most contemporary smartphones that typically follow a tall rectangle shape. Upon opening, users are greeted with a display reminiscent of an iPad Mini. This design has led to comparisons with Apple's anticipated foldable device, rumored to be the iPhone Ultra, which may launch alongside the iPhone 18 models this fall.
Industry insiders suggest that the iPhone Ultra will also adopt a wide aspect ratio, likely featuring a 5.5-inch outer screen that expands to a 7.8-inch internal display. Pricing for Apple’s foldable may range from $2,000 to $2,500.
