With summer approaching, Google has unveiled new travel tools aimed at enhancing vacation planning. These features, launched in April, include hotel price tracking and an AI assistant for packing mishaps.
The hotel price tracking tool allows users to receive alerts for price drops on specific hotels through Google Search or at google.com/hotels. This feature, which can be activated on both desktop and mobile devices, follows last year’s introduction of city-wide hotel price tracking, which focused on single hotel options.
Additionally, Google's AI Mode offers assistance for travelers who forget essential items. If a user realizes they left something behind, such as sunglasses, they can describe their need, and Google's AI will contact nearby stores to check availability and deals. This feature is currently being rolled out in the U.S. and aims to streamline the travel experience.
