Google has reverted the Home & Nest Community back to its original support platform at support.google.com/googlenest/community, after previously transitioning to a third-party forum service. This change comes as part of a redesign effort aimed at enhancing user experience and improving content organization.
Launched in 2021, the community website previously served as a support hub for Nest products. The redesigned platform now includes ten dedicated forums covering various product categories such as thermostats, cameras, speakers, and smart home integrations. Users will retain the ability to log in with their existing Google Accounts, although all former Nest community accounts will be discontinued.
In addition to a refreshed interface, Google emphasizes a commitment to reducing spam and optimizing discussions. Users should note that any information and posts from the previous site will be deleted by June 30, 2026. Future plans also hint at deeper integration with the Google Home app, although initial features will focus on community interaction.
