A new Google Play system update is being rolled out for Pixel devices, weighing in at 15 MB. The update is designed to enhance security and improve device stability, though users have reported some bugs during installation. Most Pixel users are currently on the “November 1, 2025” update, as there was no December release.
After the installation, issues arose particularly on the Pixel 10 series. Users experienced a prolonged boot sequence, with some devices like the Pixel 10 Pro displaying a black screen post-reboot, although haptic feedback was still present. A workaround involved plugging the device into power or holding down the power button for about 30 seconds to restart.
In testing, the Pixel 10 encountered problems with the Pixel Launcher not loading completely, leaving users unable to access system UI elements. However, rebooting resolved the issues. Devices in the Pixel 9 series reported a longer reboot time without significant problems. Overall, functionality returned to normal after initial glitches.
