Movies Anywhere users can once again access Google Play and YouTube services following a brief disruption that lasted nearly two months. This interruption occurred when Disney, the owner of Movies Anywhere, removed Google from its partner list after a broadcasting agreement with YouTube TV lapsed without renewal.
As of today, affected users are receiving emails notifying them of the reinstatement of these services. To reconnect, users can simply log into their Movies Anywhere account, navigate to account preferences, and follow the prompts to link their Google accounts. Those who do not receive the email can still manage their connections through the platform’s settings.
The recent resolution marks the end of the Google-Disney conflict that affected service availability. Users should note that they will need to take action to reconnect their accounts, as previous syncs may not have remained intact during the outage.
