LG has unveiled a new gaming monitor, the UltraGear, touted as the first to feature a native 1,000Hz refresh rate at Full HD resolution. Designed specifically for competitive gamers, this monitor aims to enhance aiming accuracy and reaction times in fast-paced first-person shooter games.
Unlike previous offerings from Samsung and Acer, which require users to lower their resolution to achieve high refresh rates, LG claims that its UltraGear maintains its 1,000Hz performance at Full HD without such compromises. Most monitors currently available cap at a maximum of 240Hz, which suffices for general gaming needs.
The UltraGear features a 24.5-inch IPS display with low-reflection characteristics and an adjustable base for optimal viewing angles. It also includes AI-driven enhancements, such as picture optimization tailored to various game genres and AI Sound for improved audio experience.
Despite the innovative features, LG has not yet disclosed the pricing or availability details for the UltraGear monitor.
