Starting January 7, 2026, consumers in the US can purchase the new Samsung Galaxy A17 5G at a price of $199.99. This entry-level smartphone features a robust 5,000mAh battery, matching the capacity found in the premium Galaxy S25 Ultra, and supports 25W wired charging, allowing for a quick recharge of up to 50% in about 30 minutes.
Originally launched in August 2025, the Galaxy A17 5G is designed to offer excellent specifications for its cost. It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, surpassing the base model of last year's Apple flagship. Built for durability, the device includes IP54 water and dust resistance, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on the front, and reinforced polymer on the back.
Powered by the Exynos 1330 processor, the Galaxy A17 features advanced AI functionalities and offers a single configuration with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. Samsung promises a minimum of six years of security updates and six generations of One UI and Android upgrades, ensuring longevity for the device.
Availability will be limited to select carriers and retailers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon, and Samsung Experience Stores, rather than Samsung's official website.
