Google is enhancing the functionality of its Find Hub app on Android by introducing map layers, which include options such as "Satellite," "Terrain," and "Traffic." This update aims to improve user experience when locating lost devices. A new floating action button, positioned beneath the account switcher, allows users to select different map types.
This update is part of version 3.1.485-2 of Find Hub for Android. While it is being distributed via the Play Store, a server-side component is still in the process of being fully implemented. As a result, some users may notice this feature appearing on their devices at different times.
Recently, Google also released Find Hub for Wear OS, alongside other updates such as the introduction of 'one-tap' media device transfers. These enhancements reflect Google's ongoing commitment to improving its ecosystem of services.
