Pre-orders for the new Odo Island Monster figure from the SH MonsterArts line have begun, with a price set at 12,100 yen (approximately $77). This figure is inspired by a scene from the recent film Godzilla Minus One and is expected to be released in Japan this September.
Designed with input from sculptor Yuji Sakai, known for his work on various Godzilla films, the 4.72-inch figure captures the creature's unique posture and proportions akin to a dinosaur. The detailed articulation allows fans to recreate key moments from the movie.
This figure is notable as it provides a complete view of this proto-Godzilla form, which only appears briefly in the film. Additionally, the SH MonsterArts series previously released a Minus Color variant earlier in 2024, marking a trilogy of toys connected to the franchise.
Fans can also anticipate the sequel, Minus Zero, slated for release in November.
