Pioneer has launched the SPHERA aftermarket in-dash receiver, marking a significant advancement in car audio technology. This model, which supports Dolby Atmos® playback in Apple CarPlay, is the first of its kind in the aftermarket segment, allowing millions of existing vehicles to experience spatial audio. The SPHERA, model DMH-WT8000NEX, is now available for purchase.
The device utilizes Pioneer’s proprietary “Pure Autotuning” technology to optimize audio performance based on the unique characteristics of each vehicle's cabin. This innovation allows the receiver to adjust time alignment, frequency response, and channel levels, ensuring an immersive sound experience that aligns with the artistic vision of content creators.
In addition to its audio capabilities, the SPHERA features a 10.1-inch HD capacitive display, which supports a split-screen mode for easy access to various functions. The integrated Pioneer Luminous Bar enhances the visual appeal of the dashboard, with modes for navigation assistance and music synchronization. Users can also enjoy seamless connectivity with wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto™, and Bluetooth®.
