The upcoming launch of the Honor Magic V6 and Oppo Find N6 is generating excitement as both companies claim to have developed foldable smartphones that eliminate the notorious display crease. The Honor device is scheduled for release on March 1 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), while Oppo has yet to confirm a specific date for its launch.
Images shared by Honor executive Wang Fei on Weibo demonstrate a foldable design that appears crease-free. Additionally, Honor has introduced a new “Super Steel Hinge,” which purportedly enhances durability without sacrificing battery life or the device's slim profile. The design also maintains IP68/69 water and dust resistance.
In a separate video, Oppo showcased the Find N6, which reportedly withstood 170,000 folds during testing without developing a crease. This durability raises expectations about the performance of these devices in everyday use. Both manufacturers are poised to challenge the longstanding issues associated with foldable technology.
