Clicks Communicator, a new messaging-centric device, is set to launch in 2026 with a starting price of $499. This smartphone acts as a secondary device to the primary smartphone, enabling users to manage messages efficiently. Reservations for the device are currently open at $199, allowing early buyers to secure a lower price of $399 upon release.
The Communicator operates on Android 16 and comes equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and 256GB of storage alongside a microSD card slot. Its design is reminiscent of classic BlackBerry devices, featuring a physical keyboard and a unique “Prompt Key” that can initiate voice recordings and other functions. Additionally, it includes a "Signal Light" to indicate messages from various applications.
Future updates are expected to enhance its functionality, including potential AI applications. The device's customizable software, built on the Niagara Launcher, consolidates notifications from multiple messaging apps, emphasizing its primary focus on messaging.
