Apple is set to mark its 50th anniversary on April 1, following a busy March that included the launch of seven new products and an unexpected announcement of an eighth. The company has indicated the possibility of unveiling WWDC 2026 this week, which could provide important dates for upcoming software updates, including iOS 27 and macOS 27.
On March 18, Apple released the iOS 26.4 Release Candidate, featuring 13 enhancements for iPhones. The official version is anticipated to launch on March 25. This update will also roll out across other platforms such as iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS, introducing eight new emoji characters and improvements to the Safari browser on Mac.
Additionally, Apple has announced that the first deliveries of the new AirPods Max 2 will begin between April 1 and April 3, although pre-orders will start on March 25. Customers can currently save $100 on the USB-C variant of AirPods Max, though they will not benefit from the latest software features. Apple is also preparing to release crucial security updates for older iOS versions, urging users to upgrade to iOS 15 for better protection.
