The new iPhone 17e has been introduced at a starting price of £599 (€699/$599/A$999), making it the most affordable option in the latest iPhone lineup. This model undercuts the prices of both the iPhone 17 and iPhone 16 by £200 and £100, respectively.
Retaining the design of its predecessor, the 17e features a 6.1-inch OLED display and is powered by the Apple A19 chip, albeit with one less GPU core compared to the standard iPhone 17. It comes with two storage options: 256GB or 512GB, along with impressive battery life, lasting approximately 52 hours under typical usage.
Among its notable features are the incorporation of MagSafe technology, which allows for compatibility with various accessories, and an upgraded Ceramic Shield 2 glass that enhances durability and visibility outdoors. The device also includes a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front-facing camera.
Although the 17e lacks some advanced functionalities present in higher-end models, such as wifi 7 and Ultra Wideband capabilities, it remains a strong contender for users seeking a powerful smartphone experience at a lower price point.
