As 2025 draws to a close, Apple has discontinued numerous devices, including its entire iPhone SE line, following the launch of the iPhone 16e. The third-generation iPhone SE was phased out in February, marking the end of sales for models featuring a Home button, Touch ID, and sub-6-inch screens.
Additionally, the iPhone Plus series, including the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 15 Plus, will soon be entirely replaced by the slimmer iPhone Air. The upcoming iPhone 16 Plus is also expected to be discontinued shortly. In total, 25 products were removed from Apple's lineup this year.
In the iPad category, the iPad Pro, iPad Air, and entry-level iPad were updated with faster chips but saw no significant design changes. The models that were discontinued include the iPad Pro with the M4 chip, the iPad Air with the M2 chip, and the iPad 10, which was updated with the A16 chip.
The Apple Watch segment saw the discontinuation of the Apple Watch Ultra 2, while the latest models, including the Apple Watch Series 11, did not receive new chips. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 feature more substantial upgrades compared to their predecessors.
