Apple TV's series The Savant, featuring Jessica Chastain, was initially scheduled for release last September but faced an unexpected cancellation. Chastain has now confirmed that the series is back on track, stating, “we’re going to see it” in an interview with Variety. While Apple has not officially announced a new release date, reports suggest a target for July, though the TV app still lists the series as coming in 2025.
Chastain expressed her disagreement with Apple's earlier decision to delay, emphasizing that relations between her and the company remain positive. The show tackles sensitive subjects such as online hate groups and domestic terrorism, which may have influenced the initial cancellation. Despite the uncertainty surrounding its debut, Chastain is actively involved in other Apple projects, including a limited series titled The Off Weeks, alongside Ben Stiller, and another drama, The Dealer, with Adam Driver.
As anticipation builds for The Savant, fans can expect an official announcement soon, indicating that the project is moving forward after months of speculation.
