Adobe Acrobat has introduced a new update that brings the PDF reader to Android Auto for the first time, identified as version v26.5.0.45958. This update allows users to access the app via notifications on their vehicle's display and through the app drawer, integrating it with other installed applications.
The primary feature that sets this version apart is the “Read Aloud” function, which transforms PDF text into audio. This capability enables users to listen to documents, audio versions of books, or study materials while driving, enhancing productivity for some users.
While the app may not support all PDF files during testing, it generally functions as a standard media player on Android Auto when compatible. This addition reflects a growing trend of productivity-focused applications being integrated into Android Auto, joining other recently added services like Google Meet.
