Recent leaks suggest significant changes to Android's notification and quick settings features in the upcoming Android 17. A video and screenshot shared by Mystic Leaks on Telegram reveal a possible internal build showcasing a revamped user interface aimed at improving accessibility and functionality.
The new interface introduces an option under Settings > Notifications for users to choose between Separate and Combined views. In the Separate mode, notifications appear when swiping down from the left side, while Quick Settings are accessed from the right. Users will notice a prominent clock display at the top, with notification icons arranged in pill shapes.
For larger screens, only the Separate option will be available, as the Combined view is restricted to the outer display of foldable devices. Furthermore, Android 17 is expected to reinstate a dedicated “Mobile Data” tile in Quick Settings, accompanied by a cellular bar icon. A new volume slider below brightness is also part of the updates, although the existing Quick Settings tiles remain largely unchanged.
